Abstract

Female patients with histologically verified breast cancer, including newly diagnosed breast cancer and with a history of 3-17 years were under study. In the clinical picture of the examined patients, depressive, anxious-phobic and psycho-somatic disorders were identified, which significantly reduced their quality of life and adversely affected the prognosis and survival of patients. Conducting specialized pharmacotherapy with the use of antidepressants in combination with benzodiazepine drugs and hypnotics in breast cancer patients revealed high efficacy of the combination therapy.
