Abstract

Aim. To study newborns’ state of health in Yakutsk on a basis of medical-social analysis of their mothers.

Materials and methods. Initial documents (registrations and accounts) of mother-and-child health care institutions of Yakutsk were studied. Medical-social questionnaires were fiiled out by 195 women with newborns.

Results. As a result of the analysis regards to the medical-social descriptions of mothers with newborns living in Yakutsk, we found out mothers’ poor motivation to protect their health, low medical activity and competence as well as insifficient contentment with medical help organization.

Conclusion. The investigation detected serious problems in work of the prenatal service of Republic Sakha (Yakutia) and considerable reserves in reducing a level of fetoinfant losses.

Abstract

Aim. Comparative analysis of age dynamics of arterial tension in children of indigenous and non-indigenous populations, living for a long time in the Far North regions as well as search for data concerning levels of arterial tension conditioned by ethnic factor.

Materials and methods. Using the method of mathematical modelling we examined 1288 children of the indigenous (Nenes, Khanty and Yakuts) and non-indigenous (Russians, Tatars, Ukrainians, Byelorussians) populations.

Results. Lesser indices of arterial tension were detected in children of the indigenous population, much more differences noted in Nenes as compared with indices of standard characteristics of the craniometry. Moreover, values of the chracteristic of arterial tension do not differ in yakut children and the non-indigenous populations.

Conclusion. It is necessary to carry out thorough studies and to estimate expediency of determining ethnic-oriented norms for separate sub-populations.

Abstract

Aim. To analyse interaction between indices of lipidogram and rheologic properties of the blood (RPB) in various hyperlipoproteidemic (HLP) types for their treatment at early stage.

Materials and methods. 50 patients ( 21 men and 29 women with middle age 51,2±1,3 and 55,8±2,4 accordingly) with HLP types IIa, IIb and IV were subjected to comparison of influence of micronised phenofibrat (Lipantil) therapy in daily dose of 20 mg on rheologic properties of the blood (RPB).

Conclusion. Both preparations studied had a positive effect upon RPB. Moreover, lipantil made much better the blood viscosity and deformed properties of erythrocytes reducing their aggregation, particularly in HLP type IV. Vasilip took lesser effect on RPB as compared with lipantil.

Abstract

Aim. To estimate a role of antropogenic factors in organizing health of the population living in the Lena valley.

Materials and methods. We carried out a comparative analysis of factors concerning ecological tenseness of 6 regions located in the Lena basin. We analysed state of health of the population of these regions on a basis of data taken from medical statistics for 1990-2003.

Results. High sickness rate and mortality certified among the population living in the territory of the Lena river is not perfecly determined by climatic peculiarities of the regions. But it coincides with the residents in certain geohydrochemical conditions.

Conclusion. This medical-demographic situation in the Lena territory is evidence of the necessity to organize environmentfriendly measures in the valley of the river. From this it follows, working out of theoretical fundamentals and devices regards to the medical-ecological zoning of the territory of Republic Sakha would be of great significance and priority. And the zoning should be made up subject to the population’s state of health on quality of drinking water.
