The importance of environmental factors in the Yakuts with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic bronchitis in combination with metabolic syndrome
Abstract
The authors studied influence of environmental factors such as physical activity, physical activity per week, smoking and alcohol consumption on concomitant course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic bronchitis with metabolic syndrome in the Yakut ethnic group in comparison with similar patients without metabolic syndrome. In the course of the study it was revealed that the frequency of occurrence of such factors, as physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption, in groups does not differ. At the same time, the higher index of a smoker and fewer hours spent per week on physical activity are more common in the Yakuts with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic bronchitis with metabolic syndrome that increases the risk of cardiovascular complications in this category of patients.
