Epidemiological aspects of the second type diabetes in Republic Sakha (Yakutia)

Abstract

The purpose of research. The analysis of prevalence and clinical features of the 2-type diabetes mellitus (DM2) in Yakutia.
Material and methods. The database “ The State register of diabetes in RS (Y)”, the demographic data of population census. Results. Steady distribution of diabetes due to DM2 is revealed, and besides among agricultural uluses in places of traditionally prevailing residing of the Yakut population their greater rate of growth is observed. Relative decrease in frequency of later complications and the expressed sexual disproportion of patients are also marked. The basic later complications negatively influencing on the quality of life are cardiovascular frustrations (heart attacks and insults) and nephropathy (Chronic renal insufficiency).
The conclusion. The regional register of diabetes is the effective tool of monitoring of the population morbidity and an estimation of quality of the treatment-and-prophylactic help of patients of endocrinologic profile, allowing to carry out the control over an epidemiological situation and to provide acceptance of administrative decisions in sphere of public health services.
