Arterial tension in children living in Far North regions conditioned by ethnic factor
Abstract
Aim. Comparative analysis of age dynamics of arterial tension in children of indigenous and non-indigenous populations, living for a long time in the Far North regions as well as search for data concerning levels of arterial tension conditioned by ethnic factor.
Materials and methods. Using the method of mathematical modelling we examined 1288 children of the indigenous (Nenes, Khanty and Yakuts) and non-indigenous (Russians, Tatars, Ukrainians, Byelorussians) populations.
Results. Lesser indices of arterial tension were detected in children of the indigenous population, much more differences noted in Nenes as compared with indices of standard characteristics of the craniometry. Moreover, values of the chracteristic of arterial tension do not differ in yakut children and the non-indigenous populations.
Conclusion. It is necessary to carry out thorough studies and to estimate expediency of determining ethnic-oriented norms for separate sub-populations.
