Actual problems of perinatology in Republic Sakha (Yakutia)
Abstract
Aim. To study newborns’ state of health in Yakutsk on a basis of medical-social analysis of their mothers.
Materials and methods. Initial documents (registrations and accounts) of mother-and-child health care institutions of Yakutsk were studied. Medical-social questionnaires were fiiled out by 195 women with newborns.
Results. As a result of the analysis regards to the medical-social descriptions of mothers with newborns living in Yakutsk, we found out mothers’ poor motivation to protect their health, low medical activity and competence as well as insifficient contentment with medical help organization.
Conclusion. The investigation detected serious problems in work of the prenatal service of Republic Sakha (Yakutia) and considerable reserves in reducing a level of fetoinfant losses.
