Actual nutrition of indigenous small in number people of the North (the case of the Evenks, Olenek area of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia)
Abstract
Actual nutrition of Zhilinda Olenek district of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) population before developing Tomtor deposits of rare earth metals was evaluated. Results of the study indicate a significant deficiency in the daily diet of fruits, vegetables, dairy products and eggs. Attention is drawn to the frequent use of such foods as cereals, pasta, sweets and sugar. Thus, the nutrition of the surveyed sample is unbalanced and suggests a lack of basic dietary micronutrients, minerals and vitamins.
