Abstract

The authors have analyzed the results of cytological study of cervix in women aged 18 to 88 years as a method of early diagnosis of background and precancerous diseases of the cervix uteri. The obtained results confirm the high predictive value of this method. Early detection and treatment of background and precancerous diseases of the cervix will contribute to a real reduction in the morbidity and mortality from cervical cancer.
