Abstract

A review of the literature on studies of the intestinal microflora in children is presented. The research for recent years has demonstrated the importance of the impact of the gut microbiome on children's health. The current understanding of the intestinal microbiome is introduced. A brief description of the composition of the intestinal microflora and its impact on the health of the child is given.
