D-dimer level as a predictor of adverse outcomes in patients with ischemic stroke
https://doi.org/10.25789/YMJ.2021.74.02
Abstract
The hypothesis tested that the level of D-dimer, measured in the first 96 hours from the beginning of hospitalization, has a predictive value in relation to mortality in patients with acute ischemic stroke in the acute and early recovery periods.
It was found that the level of D-dimer ≥ 5 VGN is a predictor of an unfavorable outcome in the examined group, which may require a change in the tactics of using anticoagulants, for example, therapeutic doses of anticoagulants, rather than prophylactic ones.
