Ethnic, gender and age differences between the prevalence of risk factors and progression of cerebrovascular disease in elderly and senile individuals with chronic cerebral ischemia
Abstract
The authors have made comparative analysis of the prevalence of risk factors of cerebrovascular disease in elderly and senile persons living in the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) and suffering chronic ischemia of the brain depending on ethnicity, age and gender. It is shown that ethnicity has great importance in the development of hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, diabetes and alcoholism.
