Epidemiological assessment of the factors capable to influence on the development of combined forms of HIV infection and tuberculosis among the population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Abstract

On a basis of the analysis of case histories and personal files of tuberculosis patients with HIV-infection in comparison with mono-infected patients with either HIV or tuberculosis for the period 1999-2014 epidemiological assessment of risk factors is presented contributing potentially to the development of mixed forms. The survey shows the following factors as prevalence rate of males and age group 30-39 years, sociallymarginalized or newcomers population, drug addiction, alcohol abuse and smoking as well as staying in penitentiary system and presence of comorbidities.
