The aim of the work is to develop an algorithm of therapeutic measures to improve early diagnosis and the most rapid application of the necessary surgical intervention in patients with penetrating heart injuries.

The most frequent clinical symptoms of heart injuries were determined with their ranking into reliable and probable ones, the algorithm of treatment and diagnostic tactics in case of heart injury was determined. Videothoracoscopy allows to detect the presence of damage to the heart and determine its nature in cases of difficulty in diagnosis. The most effective treatment for patients with penetrating heart injury is emergency surgery.
