Medical and social aspects of health of rural able-bodied population in conditions of the Far North

Abstract

The purpose of research. Studying of a state of health, conditions and a way of life of rural population of able-bodied age in conditions of the Far North.
Materials and methods. Inspection in expeditionary conditions of 1949 person of able-bodied age, from them 1169 women and 780 men is lead. The state of health of the population of able-bodied age was studied by results of one-stage clinic - functional and laboratory inspection with the purpose of revealing of the basic classes of diseases. At studying conditions and a way of life of the population the method of socially-clinical questioning is used. The questionnaire is developed by experts of laboratory of medicosocial researches and the problem analysis and approved by scientifi cally-methodical council of the Yakut centre of science of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Government RS (Y) in 2005.
Results. Among the examined persons of able-bodied age at the moment of inspection of a pathology it is not revealed at 9,3 % the person, among men healthy it has appeared more (13,8 %), than among women (7,8 %). The others have on the average 2-3 diseases. The level of a pathological affection among the examined contingent has made 234,8 cases on 100 examined population of able-bodied age. At complex medical survey it is revealed in 1, 5 times of more pathology, than at taking medical advice, and diseases of bodies of digestion in 5,5 times, system of blood circulation - in 5 and endocrine system - in 6 times more. Sociallyhygienic questioning of the population of able-bodied age has shown, that on health of people of able-bodied age render complex infl uence such factors, as the use of alcoholic drinks, smoking, non-observance of a diet, character of a feed and a degree of physical activity.
The conclusion. Parameters of health of rural able-bodied population are on a low level. Elimination or decrease of bad habits would be one of reserves of improvement of a state of health of rural able-bodied population.
