Ethnic Characteristics of Eye Structure and Prevalence of Primary Glaucoma Separate Forms

Abstract

The literary review points out the fact that different races (European, Afro-Americans, Mongoloids) are subject to one or another form of glaucoma owing to the certain anatomic features of eyes. The carried-out literary review revealed variability of incidence and prevalence of the primary glaucoma (PG) not only among various races, but also in each of them, and also showed the relevance of epidemiological surveys in various ethnic groups.
