В статье представлен обзор литературы по проблеме метаболического синдрома у детей и подростков. Пандемия ожирения, которая сегодня наблюдается во всем мире, представляет все большую социально значимую проблему, поскольку влечет за собой эпидемию сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний, которые занимают ведущее место среди причин смертности и утраты трудоспособности.

The article presents a review of the literature on the problem of metabolic syndrome in children and adolescents. The obesity pandemic, which is now observed all over the world, is an increasingly important social problem, as it leads to an epidemic of cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading causes of death and disability.
