<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Our aim is to study the content of tryptophan metabolites in blood serum and feces in patients with NSCLC for further estimation of possible correction of microbiomes` functional state and its role in the providence of the efficiency of treatment. The levels of tryptophan metabolites in blood serum and feces of 100 patients with NSCLC in comparison with 100 healthy donors were studied. A number of differences were obtained: in serum of patients a statistically significant decrease in the levels of tryptophan, its` dominant metabolites of microbiotic origin - tryptamine, serotonin, downtrend for xanthurenic acid along with an increase of the levels of quinolinic acid (in tendency). In feces the levels of indole in patients had an uptrend in comparison with donors. We consider that the decrease of tryptophan and its` dominant metabolites in serum of patients with NSCLC may be due to the utilization of tryptophan by tumor cells.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>немелкоклеточный рак легкого</kwd><kwd>здоровые доноры</kwd><kwd>метаболиты триптофана</kwd><kwd>сыворотка крови</kwd><kwd>кал</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>non-small cell lung cancer</kwd><kwd>healthy donors</kwd><kwd>tryptophan metabolites</kwd><kwd>blood serum</kwd><kwd>feces</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено в рамках научно-исследовательской работы по договору 0373100122121000031 на выполнение научно-исследовательской работы по проекту «Изучение системы IDO1/TDO2-KYN-AhR в системе хозяин-микробиота-опухоль при злокачественных новообразованиях с целью разработки пролекарства для их лечения», от 01.06.2021 г. с ФГБУ «ЦСП» ФМБА России.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The study was carried out within the framework of research work under the contract 0373100122121000031 for the implementation of research work under the project «Study of the IDO1 / TDO2-KYN-AhR system in the host-microbiota-tumor system in malignant neoplasms in order to develop a prodrug for their treatment», dated 01.06 .2021 with the Federal State Budgetary Institution «CSP» of the FMBA of Russia.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Кит О.И.
