В настоящее время актуальной общемедицинской проблемой являются врожденные пороки развития, где в структуре аномалий немаловажное значение имеют орофациальные несращения. В структуре врожденных дефектов лица (ВРГН ‒ врожденные расщелины губы и нёба) выявляются до 83%, где по частоте у каждого пятого новорожденного они проявляются как симптом тяжелого синдрома. По данным Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ) более пяти тысяч заболеваний обусловлены генетическими мутациями. Тем временем ВРГН широко изучаются, но несмотря на это, остаются нерешенными вопросы их комплексной медико-социальной реабилитации. Совершенствование комплексной медико-социальной реабилитации детей с ВРГН основывается на знаниях их клинико-эпидемиологических особенностей, которые обуславливают вероятность планирования рациональной и своевременной реализации медицинской помощи. В связи с этим исследования, направленные на изучение клинико-эпидемиологической характеристики частоты и структуры ВРГН у детей, имеют научную и практическую значимость в клинической стоматологии и медицинской генетике.

Congenital malformations are a pressing general medical problem, with orofacial nonunions playing a significant role in the structure of anomalies. Congenital cleft lip (CCLP) accounts for up to 83% of congenital facial defects, occurring in one in five newborns and manifesting as a symptom of a severe syndrome. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than five thousand diseases are caused by genetic mutations. While CCLP are being extensively studied, issues related to their comprehensive medical and social rehabilitation remain unresolved. Improving the comprehensive medical and social rehabilitation of children with CCLP is based on understanding their clinical and epidemiological characteristics, which determine the likelihood of planning rational and timely medical care. Therefore, research aimed at understanding the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of the frequency and structure of CCLP in children has scientific and practical significance in clinical dentistry and medical genetics.
