В статье представлена динамика основных медико-демографических показателей и особенности смертности населения в Арктической зоне Республики Саха (Якутия). За период 2000-2019 гг. в этой зоне отмечается тенденция снижения общей смертности, в том числе от болезней системы кровообращения и внешних причин, на фоне сохраняющихся показателей рождаемости. Коэффициент смертности от внешних причин был выше среднего по Российской Федерации в 1,9 раза, по Республике Саха (Якутия) - в 1,6 раза. Показатель младенческой смертности в Арктической зоне был также выше среднего по республике и РФ в целом. Высокие показатели младенческой смертности и смертности от внешних причин в Арктической зоне свидетельствуют о неблагополучной социально-экономической ситуации в регионе.

The article presents the dynamics of the key medical and demographic indicators and features of mortality in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). For the period 2000-2019 in this zone, there is a tendency to reduce overall mortality, including from diseases of the circulatory system and external causes, against the background of continuing birth rates. The mortality rate from external causes was 1.9 times higher than the average for the Russian Federation, and 1.6 times higher for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The infant mortality rate in the Arctic zone was also higher than the average for the republic and the Russian Federation as a whole. High rates of infant mortality and mortality from external causes in the Arctic zone testify to the unfavorable socio-economic situation in the region.
